Heart of Chatham Drop-in Events

More than 150 local people joined us this weekend to have their say on the future of a site in Chatham town centre.

We’re creating a community-led vision and masterplan for a site encompassing the former Go Outdoors superstore, market hall and multi-storey car park, as part of our Heart of Chatham programme.

Armed with sticky notes, doughnuts and Lego, we captured people’s thoughts and aspirations for the future of the site.

Our drop-in events took place right at the heart of the community at the Pentagon Shopping Centre and Luton Primary School.

This latest round of consultation forms part of a wider series of workshops and feedback sessions over the coming months, giving people an opportunity to shape a community-led plan that puts local ideas and experiences at the centre of the scheme.
