Design Code Survey
In October 2020, we surveyed 123 people via a Google Form to influence our soon-to-be design code as part of the neighbourhood planning process. A design code is a set of simple, concise, illustrated design requirements that are visual and numerical wherever possible to provide specific, detailed parameters for the physical development of a site or area.
The aim of this survey is to learn more about the community’s design preferences i.e. like, dislikes, hopes and aspirations, in a noncommittal fashion. This will feed into a design code that will accompany the neighbourhood plan. This code will allow the community to determine what kind of development will go in their area, by looking at the details.
On the left hand side, you’ll will find a replica survey which isn’t live or being monitored.
